I would like to thank the following clients for their written testimonial of their experience here at Twin Oak Training Stable.  It has been a wonderful journey with you.  Thank you!

I can honestly say that Judy is an excellent trainer/horse person.  I have known her for almost 3 years and have learned tons from her since we first met.  She trained my three old Paint horse and did a wonderful job with him.  I have since sold him as we weren't a good match for each other but I do keep in touch with the lady who bought him and everyone is amazed at what a good boy he is, he is very soft and responsive.  Judy really works from the ground up so that she doesn't miss any holes when training a horse.  She believes that communication is key.  She is very patient and gentle yet firm with the horses that she trains.  She also gives excellent instruction while doing lessons with the horse that she is training for you.   I currently have a Mustang that Judy has halter trained so far.  In August my mustang, Shy, was an untouched two year old mare.  Judy has worked with her and now she is a responsive, respectable girl.  I am looking forward to Judy starting saddle training with her when she is a little older.  I would not hesitate to take a horse to Judy for training.
Thank you,  Jennifer Voeltner   (Jen's Mustang Mare, Shy pictured)

Judy Guenther has trained several horses for us.  Each time, with each horse we have been very pleased with the progress, the handling, and the care Judy takes with our horses.  She takes the time to bond with each horse and figure out what makes each one want to work with her.  Judy stays in contact with us and keeps us informed as they progress and is very willing to show us what she is doing.
Bob and I highly recommend Judy to anyone who wants a well trained horse with no 'holes' left in the training.  We will continue to use Judy for all our young stock and for our more finished show horses too.

I have known Judy Guenther for about 5 years now and it has been a wonderful association. It started out by breeding my mares to Menominee Wind, Dick and Dee Corning's IBHA Supreme stallion, he is a wonderful fella. Well from there Judy has trained 2 horses for me Zips Sassy Wind a filly out of Menominee Wind and a gelding out of The Scotchman. As Far as  a trainer Judy is very thorough, gentle, kind and makes a willing partner out of the individual that she works with.
Judy and I have done APHA shows for Wis and Minn. and have done very well, with
top fives and top tens. This year Wee Zip O Scotch my gelding was awarded Grand Champion SPB western Pleasure  with Wis APHA. And I owe a lot to Judy for him recieving that award. She has made him a steady mount and dependable,
he is such a pleasure to ride. We Have also shown together at the DCHA Futurity shows for the last 3 years, and also foundation shows in Wisconsin as well as Missouri. Judy uses steady and quite hands in her training methods as well. All in all besides being a trainer for me I consider Judy as my best friend.
Thank You Judy

I met Judy back in the year 2000 while competing at IBHA shows.   Since then I have gotten to know Judy better and can say that she is "Honest, caring, hard-working, and great with the horses".    I have competed at shows with Judy, used her to train several of my horses, and enjoy her friendship.  That being said, I have seen Judy in many different environments from the show ring, to working at home and know that she is always consistent in her training/handling of the horses as well as her treatment of customers.  She is someone I will use again if I need a trainer as I know my horses will be handled with the care that is important to me, get plenty of turn-out outside, and I will get a horse home that I know I will be able to ride.  I have used many other horse trainers over the years and Judy is one of those trainers that I will use again.  I respect her integrity in the horse business.
Sincerely,

This is a portion of a quote from Bob Avila that I consider an important part of my everyday horsemanship.
“True horsemen are never satisfied with their knowledge of horses, be it about training, health, behavior or management. They are constantly driven to learn more.  A true horseman puts the needs of the horse before their own.  A true horseman has “feel”: the ability to think like a horse.”  Judy Guenther showed me this quote, and she lives it everyday in her approach to horse training.
Early last spring, I brought my pushy, dominant, 2 ½ year-old gelding, Pep to Judy for training.  Pep was used to being the boss of the pasture with lots of food and nothing to do.  I was afraid of him.  Pep was difficult to handle for the farrier, the vet, and didn’t stand for grooming and clipping.  I worried many times that I bought too much horse for my ability.  Over the next 2 months, Judy worked with Pep, starting with groundwork, and then riding.  Through Judy’s method of clear, easy for the horse to understand steps, a bond of mutual trust began to emerge.  Pep began to settle and understand his job: to be a responsible partner.   As Pep progressed, I started to take lessons on him once a week as part of the overall training.  As I mentioned, I was afraid of Pep, and I thought that would be difficult to overcome.  Judy acted as my “safety net” always guiding me through situations that came up, and applying firm, but steady pressure to get me to reach my potential and achieve a more holistic understanding of my relationship with the horse.  This was the most concentrated learning experience I’ve ever had on horseback, but the lessons that I learned still serve me well today.
I brought Pep home in mid-May and rode him almost everyday on the trails around my home.  At first, I used those trail rides to work on obstacles like crossing water, bridges and ditches.  Mid-summer I was able to focus on finishing work like relaxed collection, leg yields, and neck-reining.  Judy was able to put a very comprehensive foundation on Pep, and give me the skills and confidence to continue and trust him.  Pep is now 3 years old and the most intelligently broke horse that I have ever ridden.

My entire family are honored to call Judy and her beautiful family our friends. The environment that Judy has created for the horses and their owners is without a doubt as inviting as if it was your own home and stables.  We board our horse Dynamites Lucky Charm (We call her Penny) at Twin Oak Stables and I can say that if it was not for Judy and her amazing knowledge, patience, thoughtfulness and honesty we would not be horse owners. We came into this very green and she let us grow and learn at a pace we were comfortable with. Her willingness to always take time from her day to help us when we needed it makes our confidence as horse owners and riders that much stronger. My daughter started out at the age of 5 with riding lessons and when we decided to adopt Penny a year later she was there as well to help pick out and pick up Penny and bring her home. Judy's amazing ability to hear and understand all the horse she is stabling and or training is nothing short of amazing.  To watch Judy train a horse or give a lesson is just about as nice as if you yourself was getting the lesson.   Just by watching and listening I learn so much.  More then anything Judy, Butch, Jesse and Amanda have become great friends. I have seen Judy treat everyone with respect and kindness no matter their abilities. I know if you stop in to see Judy you will be very happy you did, just like our family is.                                                                                                                                                                                                                                     Josh, Connie, Yvette and Penny Navis

I highly recommend Judy Guenther as a horse trainer.  She has worked with my stallion, Menominee Wind.  Because of her good training I am able to take him myself to shows and fairs and get along fine even with my limited skills.  He behaves himself well with other horses including stallions and mares.  I would have been lost without Judy.
Judy has worked with other horses of mine (including two at her barn) as I write
this.  She always achieves the same good results.
I am continually impressed with her handling and riding skills.  Judy has extremely soft hands.  She connects with each horse individually communicating quickly.  She always puts the individual needs of the horse first.  And, she looks out for their health and general well being.
Judy is more than a trainer.  She has become a good friend.  She is honest and more than fair.  She is just an all around good citizen which translates into her business and relationships with people and horses.

Dick and Dee Corning, Standing Grulla IBHA Supreme Champion, Menominee Wind.

When I first met Judy, I had a two year old English Shire gelding who had run with the mares and knew very few manners.  It was late fall when I brought him home and was facing a winter where I could not even lift his feet for farrier work.  Within two months Judy had given him confidence and trust in humans.  She also taught me things about horses I had not learned in 35 years of raising them.  She is the quintessential "horse whisperer".                                                                                                               Jerry Sanders - Fairwater, WI                         www.wolf.org

I've taken a few horses to Judy to either start or do some finishing work with.  I've always been extremely happy.  I know my horses will be very well cared for and will be respectful, calm, willing partners when I bring them home.  Judy does an awesome job helping the horse understand what is being asked of it.  Because of this the horse becomes confident and relaxed under saddle.

Judy trained my 3 year old Half-Arab Mare Jewel in Oct., 2008 for two months. I could not even walk Jewel without her taking off on me. She did not respect me at all!
After 2 months of training Jewel now respects me and loves to be ridden all over our property.
What an amazing transformation for the very naughty horse to one that loves to be around me!
Judy also trains the owner as well. She teaches you what she is doing and has you working with your horse so you can keep up everything she has trained your horse to do. If I ever need a trainer again I will diffently hire Judy.

Thank you Judy!

I first heard about Judy when I was looking for a trainer for my AQHA Dunskin stud Mr. Hollywood Surprise. I was given her name by three different breeders in my area.  One even has her number on her cell phone that is how I got it. I called and she was the most honest talented trainer I have ever talked to.  I have had three trainers and she is the best one I have found yet. I wish I would have known about Judy when I was training my Paint stud Ima Continental Dude.  He would have done a lot better under her even though He and Kid are two very different horses, she is so versatile that I would have liked to see her train him also. But I now have the privilege to know and have Kid in her hands for another year of showing. It says a lot when you take your horse back for another year as I am doing.  She is very honest while training as if they are cut out for one discipline or another she will let you know and us as horse owners should have the kindness to your animal to respect that.  They are not all cut out to do what we want them to do depending on their build and stature.  All I know is I am very honored and blessed to know her as a person and trainer and Kid likes her even though she puts him back in school for the summer.  Kid was ready enough for me to ride at only training 4 months.  We are looking forward to another great showing year. Please don't hesitate to get in touch with Judy and see what she has to offer. She is a great friendly and understanding person who will take the time with each individual. Thank you Judy and also her family, without their support for her taking up their family weekends for shows with us we couldn't enjoy her training and showing abilities. Thanks again and Happy Trails, Melodee & Kid                            MB Stables, Shawano Wis

I have used many trainers in the past and Its so important whom we choose to train our horses. I have learned the hard way that holes in training can get us hurt. I was given Judy Guenthers name by a friend that was very pleased with the training her horse received by Judy. I took my mare to Judy and was so impressed with how much she had accomplished, my mare was so soft and responsive. My mare was well taken care of and thats very improtant to me. I was so pleased I took another to her when the first came home. This one was a difficult gelding but Judy worked hard with him and he came home wonderful as well. Judy doesn't just train our horses and send us home, she connects us with them so we continue to ride them correctly. I made the right choice in this trainer and when my next colt is ready we know where he will be going, to Twin Oak Training, Judy Guenther.  Christian Bonack, Mayville, Wi.
