Horses have been the passion of millions of people through out history and this continues today. Horses teach us responsibility, empathy for others, improve our balance and cordination, about simplicity and how to effectively communicate with them which will carry over to other people. I believe in positive reinforcement for both our horses and students, but will challenge them and you to improve. I realize that all students progress at different levels and I adjust the lessons accordingly. I teach students to understand how a horse thinks and moves, to be aware of what is going on around them and to handle any situation that arises. Feel, Timing and Balance are key components to riding.
Our students learn to groom and tack up their own horses as well as put them away after their lessons. This makes for a better understanding of the horse and teaches our riders responsibility and proper care of the animals. I will even show you how to clean a stall.
A signed liability release form is required from all riders or their legal guardians.
Safety helmets (I have helmets available) and appropriate footwear are also required.
Unless otherwise arranged, lesson charges are to be paid following each lesson.$30/lesson
Boarding
$250/month stall with daily turn-out
Stallions $300/month with daily turn-out
Stalls are cleaned daily and we bed with good quality bedding, daily turn-out, turn-out with compatible friend or group if possible, 2 types of hay available (grass hay and Alfalfa mix), Kent Dynasty Pro grain (owner may supply their own grain or supplements at their expense), and Equestrians Choice Vitamin/Mineral Supplement. All boarding horses are on the same deworming program as the training and lesson horses. Farrier service available every 8 weeks and Veterinary services are provided by Waupun Vet Service. Indoor and outdoor arena, round pen, trails surrounding property are available for your use. I am available if you have any problems or questions concerning your horse.
