We are a full service Horse Training, Showing, Boarding, Sales, Lesson and Breeding facility nestled among the dairy farms of Southeast Wisconsin. Owned and operated by Butch and Judy Guenther along with daughters, Amanda and Jesse.
Judy specializes in training soft, supple, responsive horses. All horse breeds are welcome.
Whether you're looking for some help with a problem horse, starting a youngster, taking your first riding lesson or becoming part of our horse show team, please take a look around and see if perhaps Twin Oak Training Stable has a horse or program that will fit your needs.
Judy offers a World Class training program. A lot of work and attention to detail on each horse while taking them from start to finish helps them build confidence in their rider, stay eager to learn and adjust to horse shows easily. Judy's program places an emphasis on producing patient and trusting horses who have solid foundations. Giving to the bit, moving off of your legs and staying collected are all important components of a solid, happy horse. They also result in a much quieter and agreeable one who truly likes his work. Junior Exhibitors, Equitation, and Amateur riders are also a fun and competitive part of Judy's training program. Helping riders of all ages understand how to successfully compete in the show arena, and understand the fundamentals of horse training so they are better equipped to make the correct decisions when training and showing their own horses is important to Judy. She promotes good sportsmanship and a positive attitude and finds importance in breaking down situations so her riders understand why they are doing what they are doing.

My first pony, Dusty. I learned a lot about riding from Dusty. Things I still remember to this day. 1st - falling off, 2nd - staying on, 3rd - have Mom get on and tune him up, 4th - leave him alone when he is going where I want him to go, 5th - never wear sandals around horses and keep track of were my feet are and his, 6th - when cleaning his back hooves, be careful he doesn't poop on me, 7th - fences make good mounting blocks, 8th - read his head, it will tell me where we are going, 9th - steer, I do not fit under the tree limb but Dusty does, 10th - do not push the bit through his front teeth, he will not open his mouth, 11th - never stand on his back to catch a pigeon, very bad idea, 12th - many hours and ideas dreamt up on how to catch a pony in the pasture, a couple tricks I still use today, 13th - riding bareback develops a good seat, 14th - ponies and horses are good listeners and best friends, 15th - a good pony is worth there weight in gold.
